Course Cost: £70.00 (including basic materials)
Join Becky for a 4 week course in simple forms of book making. This is an introductory course, suitable for beginners and those wishing to refresh their skills.
Over the course you will be shown how to construct a Japanese bound book, explore the concertina form, pamphlet stitch and make a mulitfolio book with an exposed spine.

6 weeks, Mondays
24th February - 30th March 2020
Course Cost: £105.00 (including basic materials)
During the course you will explore different methods of putting pages together through stitch, cut and fold.
Each week you will produce a dummy model of the form but also experiment with ways of bringing together the form of the book and the content. We will look at Japanese book binding and stab stitch, ways to stitch single and multi-folio forms and look at clever ways to manipulate paper to create folded works. We will be using simple forms of print and stitch, combining this with painterly techniques and collage to create text and image.
At the end of the course you will have number of techniques, materials and skills to add to your toolkit and the confidence to break all the rules to create personal book art forms.
No experience is necessary - all you need is an enthusiasm to learn and have a go!
