27th April, 11th May, 18th May 2020
Course cost: £50 (including materials)
Join Artpocket for a series of fun workshops taking a creative response to to the fantastic collection of artifacts at Sheringham Museum.
During this short course we will explore a range of techniques and make a series of artworks to take home.
Week 1: All at Sea - Looking at the lifeboats and related sea going paraphernalia we will use the Gelli-plates to create a series of colourful layered prints that respond to shapes and texture of the objects within the collection.
Week 2: Portraits - We will be taking a look at Sheringham's renowned photographer Olive Edis and create drypoint prints from her photographs of some of the local characters from the early 20th Century.
Week 3: Bombed Out - Working from a range of distorted domestic objects (much like the bomb-damaged teapot in Shannock Street) we will create a series of drawings using a collection of materials.
