Gelli Plate Printing
Explore textural mark making with found objects and surfaces. This fast addictive mono print method gives instant gratification and amazing results from the word GO! You will create a series of images that could be used for collage, cards and fine art prints. |
Screen print
Using paper stencils experiment with 1- 4 layered imagery to create individual designs and explore unique colour palette. Prints can be placed onto T-shirts, Tote bags or Tea –Towels. T-shirts to be provided by participants but all will be given 1 Tote-bag or Tea-towel, more will be available to purchase at cost price on the day. |
Block print & relief
Use retro templates as well as found objects to make your own stamps. then go pattern crazy and print your own neckerchief or scarf to refresh your wardrobe. |
Heat transfer printing
Explore the diversity of disperse dyes, use to collage and layer colour, trap fabrics, flora and fauna and textures to create resists, use diluted with an ink pen to create heat transferrable freehand drawings and transfer onto fabrics. |
Kitchen table workshop
The focus of this session is to create texture and mark with unexpected objects, implements and media…Have fun playing with a retro mangle, and rolling pins as print presses, pass through textures to emboss papers and relief print onto a range of papers and fine fabrics. |
Drypoint Etching
This taster workshop will introduce you to this versatile print method in which you can explore mark making, line and form and chine colle. You will produce a dry point plate and explore printing onto a variety of papers and different ways to apply ink to create dramatic effects. |
