26th & 27th May (12-4)
2nd & 3rd June (12-4)
The work explores the gap between the remembered and experienced: an interplay between fairytale , personal mythology and childhood memories .The the book form allows Tough to manipulate the narrative and use the relationships between imagery to re-tell and re-present.
Architectural blueprints and the multitude of processes related to physical construction all inform her work and use of materials. Smith creates textural, monochromatic, compositional works using textiles, printmaking and 3D processes.
